74 Tape Counter
Follow
the steps
below
to reset a videotape's counter to zero at a
tape
location you want 1o refer to later,
_ Before you begin, make sure the Recorder is inVCR mode. PressVCR so
theVCR
light
appears on the front of the Recorder.
Play, fast forward, or rewind a tape to the location that you
would like to refer to later. Press STOP • to stop the tape.
Press DISPLAY to see the status display.

Press CLEAR to reset the counter to zero.

Press DISPLAY to remove the status display.
When you later want to return to this point on the tape,
press DISPLAY while play is stopped so you can see the
counter on theTV screen. Press _ or INN.
As the tape rewinds or forwards, watch the counte_:When it
approaches or reaches zero, press PLAY I_ to play the tape.

• You may only set the counter to
zero at one location at a time.
Setting the counter to zero at a
second location will erase the
previous zero setting.
• If you remove the tape, the
counter will reset to zero at the
point at which you lost stopped
playback whenever you reinsert
the tape.
