The scene selection screen displays sample images and the shooting mode to best suit the situation This can
be set only when the mode dial is set to SCENE.
• By switching to another scene, most settings will be changed to the default settings of each scene.

AUTO The white balance is adjusted automatically for natural color,
regardless of the light source.
_'d.'- Sunny day For shooting under a clear sky.
Cloudy day For shooting under a cloudy sky.
_,,_ Tungsten light For shooting under tungsten lighting.
_'i Fluorescent For shooting under daylight fluorescent lighting. (This type of lamp is
lamp 1 mainly used in homes.)
_._-,) Fluorescent For shooting under a neutral white fluorescent lamp. (This type of
lamp 2 lamp is mainly used in desk lamps.)
'.,_,'_ Fluorescent For shooting under a white fluorescent lamp. (This type of lamp is
lamp 3 mainly used in offices.)
ISO ...................................................................................................... Changing the ISO sensitivity
AUTO Sensitivity is automatically adjusted according to the conditions of the
subject.
50/100/200/400/ A low value lowers the sensitivity for daylight shooting of clear, sharp
800/1600 pictures. The higher the value, the better the camera's light sensitivity and
ability to shoot with a fast shutter speed and in low light conditions.
However, high sensitivity introduces noise into the resulting picture, which
may give it a grainy appearance.

FINE ZOOM

This function allovcs you to zoom up to approximately 15x by combining
the optical zoom and image cropping There is no deterioration in the
image qualify since data conversion (by increasing pixel resolution) is not
performed.
• The available magnification varies depending on the [iMAGE QUALITY]
setting
• The available [IMAGE QUALITY] setting is [SQ1] or lower.

OFF /ON
When activated [ON], the camera will record about 4 seconds of audio after
the picture is taken.
When recording, aim the camera microphone at the source of the sound
you want to record.
