WARNING: Never operate mower
unless the hooks on the grass catcher
are firmly seated on the pivot rod and
the rear discharge door rests firmly against top
of the grass catcher.

Followstepsbelowto install the mulchingbaffle:
a. Lift the rear dischargedoor and lift thegrass
catcherup and off of the pivot rod,if installed.
b. Insertthe mulchingbaffleas shown in Figure3-5
and releasethe reardischargedoor.

Cutting
Height
The cuttingheightadjustmentlever is located abovethe
rearleft wheel.See Figure3-7.
a. Pullthe leverout and awayfrom the mower.
b. Movethe leverforwardor backfor desiredcutting
height.
c. Releaselevertowardsmowerdeck.
Drive Control
Theadjustmentwheelis locatedin the drivecontrol
handlehousingand is usedto tightenor loosenthe
drivebelt. Youwill need to adjustthe drivecontrolif
the mowerdoes not propelitselfwith the drivecontrol
engagedor if the drivewheelshesitatewith the drive
controlengaged.
If eitherof theseconditionsoccur,rotatetheadjustment
wheelclockwiseto tightenthe cableand counter-clock-
wiseto loosenthe cableto adjust the drivecontrol.See
Figure3-8.

CUTTINGHEIGHT
For rough or uneven
lawns; move the height
adjustment leverto a
higher posit on. This will
help prevent scalping of
the grass.
DRIVE CONTROL
For some people the
drive contioI may not
be in a comfortable
position. You can adjust
the handle by tightening
the adjustment wheel:
