removebelt from transmissionpulley.
b. Oncebelt is off transmissionpulley,pushdownon
deck baffleto access enginepulleyand slidebelt
off this pulleyand out from underthe deck. See
Figure5-5.
7. Replacewith newbelt, workingit betweenthe deck
and baffle,firstaroundthe transmissionpulleyand
thenthe enginepulley.
NOTE: Makecertain that beltis seatedcorrectlyand
that it is ridingsmoothlyon the enginepulleyand is not
pinchedbetweenthe lowerand upperpulleyhalves.
8. Tightenself-tappingscrewsecuringdeck baffle
loosenedearlier.
9. Replaceenginebaffleand securewith self tapping
screws.
10.Replaceblade,blade adapter,and associated
hardware.Followinstructionsin BladeCaresectionfor
properassembly.
11.Tip mowerbackonto its wheelsand removepieceof
plasticfrom undergascap (if applicable).
Off-Season
Storage
Thefollowingstepsshouldbe takento prepareyourlawn
mowerfor storage.
• Cleanand lubricatemowerthoroughlyas describedin
the lubricationinstructions.
• Wedo not recommend the use of a pressurewasher
or garden hoseto cleanyourunit.
• Referto enginemanualforcorrectengine
storageinstructions.
Coat mower'scuttingbladewith chassisgreaseto
preventrusting.
Storemowerin a dry, cleanarea.Do not storenext to
corrosivematerials,suchas fertilizer.
Whenstoringanytype of powerequipmentin a poorly
ventilatedor metalstorageshed, careshouldbe takento
rust-prooftheequipment.Usinga lightoil or silicone,coat
the equipment,especiallycablesand all movingparts of
yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.
