intervals forproper tightness. Also, visually inspect blade
fordamage (e.g., b ent, cracked, worn) R eplace blade
with theoriginal equipment manufacture's (O.E.M.) blade

improper performance and compromise safety!"
4. Mower blades a re sharp and cancut. W rap theblade or
wear g loves, and use extra caution when servicing them.
5. Keep allnuts, b olts, and screws tight t obesure the
equipment isinsafe working c ondition.
6. Never tamper with safety d evices. Check t heir p roper
operation regularly.
7. After striking a foreign o bject, stop the engine, disconnect
the spark p lug wire and ground a gainst theengine.
Thoroughly inspect themower forany damage. Repair
the damage before s tarting a nd operating themower.
8. Never attempt tomake awheel orcutting h eight
adjustment while theengine i srunning.
9. Grass c atcher components, discharge cover, and trail
shield are subject towear a nd damage which c ould
expose m oving p arts orallow objects tobethrown. For
safety p rotection, frequently check c omponents and
replace i mmediately withoriginal equipment
manufacturer's (O.E.M.) parts o nly, l isted inthismanual.

the engine. The governor controls themaximum safe
