Avoid accidental starting. Be inthe starting position whenever pulling the

Always hold t he unit with both hands when o perating. Keep afirm grip on both
the front and rear handle or grips.

or trytostop t he cutting attachment when i tisrotating.
Do not touch t he engine ormuffler. These parts get e xtremely hot f rom
operation and will r emain hot for a short time a fter turning off t he unit.
Do not o perate the engine faster than t he speed needed tocut, trim or edge.
Do not r un the engine athigh s peed when not c utting.
Always stop t he engine when c utting isdelayed orwhen walking from one
cutting location toanother.
Ifstriking orbecoming entangled with aforeign object, stop t he engine
immediately and c heck for d amage. Do not o perate before repairing damage.

Keep unit c lean ofvegetation and o ther materials. They may b ecome lodged
between the cutting attachment and shield.
To reduce fire hazard, replace faulty muffler and spark arrestor. Keep the
engine and muffler free f rom grass, leaves orother debris.
