checks
before
calling
for service.
These tips can save you time
and money
since charges
for set installation
and adjustment
of customer
controls
are not covered
under
your
warranty.

be sure
accessory
is correctly
"IDENTIFIED"
(Direct
Entry
or Search).

switch (on the remote) is in correct position for selecting
channels on desired device,
[] Add channels into Favorite Station Memory
(3. INPUT-CHANNEL
SCAN).

selection.

for correct
CABLE-NORMAL

ing position.
* This TV is equipped
with protective
circuitry
that shuts
the
set OFF in case of lightning
strikes
or power
surges,
Should
this occur
turn the TV back ON by pressing
the POWER
but-
ton once
or twice,
or unplug and then replug
the power
cord
at the AC outlet.
Note:
A special
long-life
battery
is built In your
TV to re-
tain the clock
setting
and other
memory
information.
A
BATTERY
FAILURE
display
will appear
when this battery
is
exhausted.
Contact
your
dealer
or Authorized
Service
Cen-
ter to arrange
for battery
replacement.
Cleaning
and
Care

possible
shock

the set is unplugged
from
the electrical
outlet
before
cleaning.

Never
use thinners,
insecticide
sprays,
or other
chemicals
on or near the cabinet,
as they might
cause
permanent
marring
of the cabinet
finish.

For all nonwood
parts
use a clean,
soft cloth,
chamois
or sponge.

Gently
wipe
the surfaces
with the cloth dampened
in a solution
of cool clear water
and a mild soap or detergent,

a clean
dry cloth
to dry the wiped
surfaces,

cloth
dampened
with water.
