The S-vIDEO
INPUT plug is for the high resolution
picture
playback
available
with the new Super-VHS
VCR system.
Super-VHS
VCRs and cassette tapes are
capable of sharper, clearer,
more detailed picture play-
back than what normal VCR playback
can offer.
To view playback of S-VIDEO
VCR tape:
1.
Connect the S-VHS OUTPUT plug on the VCR to the
S-VIDEO INPUT plug on the TV (cable supplied with
VCR).
2.
Connect
the AUDIO OUT jacks
(R and L) from the
VCR to the AUX1 AUDIO IN (R and L) jacks on the TV.
3.
Turn TV ON.
Select PICTURE SOURCE on-screen
display.

With INPUT Menu displayed,
press 3 on the remote,
4.
Press (-) or (+) button to place the TV in S-VIDEO
mode.

"S-ViDEO"
appears
in yellow to confirm
setting.
5.
Turn the VCR ON. Place it in S-VHS playback mode.
Insert S-VHS cassette
tape and play in normal man-
ner.

The AUDIO/VIDEO
OUTPUT
jacks
(on the TV)
can be
used to record
TV programs
on VCRs equipped
with
AUDIO/VIDEO
INPUT jacks.
To record TV programs (using direct Audio/Video jack-
panel connections):
1.
Connect the VIDEO OUT jack on the TV to the VIDEO
IN jack on the VCR.
2.
Connect
the AUDIO OUT jacks
(R and L) on the TV to
the AUDIO
IN jacks
on the VCR.
3.
Turn TV ON.
Select PICTURE SOURCE on-screen
display.

With INPUT Menu displayed,
press 3 on the remote.
4.
Press
(-) or (+) button
to place the TV in ANTENNA

5.

tape in unit and place
the VCR in the
RECORD mode.

be
placed
in the LINE or CAMERA
position.
Also refer to the VCR
owner's
manual
for
direct
recording
instructions.

recordings

with this connection.
The TV must
be left ON in
order
for the VCR to receive
the video and audio signals nec-
essary
to record.
