CAPTION
is a four character
callout
that may be se-
lected
to appear
with
the on-screen
channel
num-
ber
(during
channel
changes
and when
the STATUS
button is pressed).
Example

To CAPTION a channel:
1.
Select the CAPTIONS on-screen
display.

With FEATURES Menu displayed,
press 3 on the
remote.

"CHANNEL CAPTION" appears (with arrow indica-
tor below first character
space).
2.
Press OH A V or CH number
buttons
to select
channel to be captioned.
3.
Press the (-) or (+) button to select the desired
letter (or number)
character.

Characters
appear above the arrow indicator.

Press (+) button to scan forward through the char-
acters list.
Press (-) to scan in reverse.
4.
Press ADV button to move the arrow indicator to
next character
space,
and repeat step 3.

After
completing
the caption
for one
channel,
press
the
CH
A
or V button
to select
the next channel
for caption-
ing.
PARENTAL CONTROL (PC) allows you to "CENSOR"
(or blank out) any channel you consider undesirable
for children to view. A blank screen will appear when a
PC channel is selected.
The PC channel cannot be
viewed until the correct
access code is entered
(on
the remote control) to unlock the channel for viewing.
To set Parental Control (PC) Code:
1.
Select PARENTAL CONTROL on-screen
display.

With FEATURES Menu displayed,
press 4 on the
remote.

Press (+) button to set PC Code (or "REPROGRAM
ACCESS CODE").
"ENTER ACCESS CODE ....
" appears
on-
screen,
Press 0,7,1,1
on the remote.
"XXXX"
will appear on-screen
as you press the
number
buttons.
"INCORRECT ACCESS CODE" appears on-
screen.
4.
Press 0,7,1,1
on the remote again.

"ENTER NEW CODE ....
" appears on-screen.
5.
Enter a new four digit code number using the num-
ber buttons on the remote,

"ACCESS CODE REPROGRAMMED" appears on-
screen to confirm
the new PC code number
has
been set.
NOTE:
It Is not possible
to defeat
the present
PC CODE
and view
a Parental
Control
channel
without
changing
to
a new PC CODE
number.
This will alert the parent or individ-
ual who set the original code number that the PC CODE
has
been altered
end the blanked out channel
has been viewed.
