TEXT
Text is the information that is presented using the full television screen. It is not usually
related
to the program
on the TV station.
Text services
give a wide variety
of
information
on all kinds of subjects
(example,
captioned
program
lists, a weather
forecast, stock exchange, farm news, news for hearing-impaired
persons, or general
wire-service news etc.) through the full IV screen.
A station can provide two different text services at the same time; one on MODE 1 and
another on MODE 2.
Text information
is not offered by all stations. Many stations
which provide captions do not provide text services.
Operating
the text
To select text, follow the procedures
below :

Press the CAPTION button to display the DECODER.
Press the VOLUME +(UP) or -(DOWN) button to select
ON.
NOTE: The arrowhead indicates the selected mode.

MODE. And press the VOLUME +(UP) or -
(DOWN) button to select TEXT.

Press the CAPTION
button once again and select the
MODE 1 or MODE 2 by using the VOLUME +(UP) or -
(DOWN) button.
NOTE:
• Text MODE 1 and text MODE 2 may provide two different services.
• To eliminate TEXT, select the DECODER by pressing the CAPTION button and press
the VOLUME +(UP) or -(DOWN) button to select OFF.
• If you switch the TV off by either the POWER button on the TV or by the remote control
POWER button, the TV will automatically reset back to the CAPTION MODE when the
TV is switched back on.
