water heater must be accomplished in such a menn_r that if
the tank or any connections shouldleak, the flow of water will
not causedamageto the structure.When suchlocations can-
not be avoided,a suitabledrain pan shouldbe inst_led under
the water heater. Drain pansare availableat your IocaiSears
store. Sucha drain pan must be not greater than I _ inches
deep,have a minimum length and width of at least 2 inches
greater than the water heater dimensions and must be piped
to an adequatedrain.The panmustnot restrictcombustion air
flow.Under no circumstances isthe manufacturer or Searsto
be held liable for any water damagein connection with this
water heater.

DO NOT let insulation around the gaswater heater to get
within 8 inches of the floor (air must getto the burner).
DO NOT coveror removeoperatinginstructions, and safety
related warning labelsand materials affixed to the water
heater.
Failure to heed this will result in the possibilityof a Ere or
explosion.
