Perform the 25-hour service.

Check/adjust the mower deck.
Clean the combustion chamber and grind the valve seats.
Check the engine valve clearance.
Replace the air cleaner's foam prefilter.
At Least Once Each Year
Clean the engine's cooling air intake (25 hours).
Replace the air cleaner's pre-filter (foam) (300 hours).
