Turning the Camera on and Off
Slide the ON/OFF switch in the direction shown
below. The lens will extend automatically.
Slide the ON/OFF switch to turn the camera off.
%. Tip: Switching toPlayback M ode
Pressthe [] button to start playback. Pressthe shutter
button halfway to return to shooting mode.
[_ Cautions
• Be sure that tile lenscap is removed before turning
the camera on.
• Forcibly preventing the lens from extending could
cause damage or product malfunction.
• Pictures carl be affected by fingerprints and other
marks on tile lens. Keep tile lens clean.
• Tile ON/OFF button does not completely disconnect
tile camera from its power supply.
To turn the camera on and begin playback, press
the [] button for about a second.
Pressthe [] button again or slide the ON/OFF
switch to turn the camera off.

To exit to shooting mode, press the shutter button
halfway. Press tile [] button to return to playback.
%. Tip:Auto PowerOff
The camera will turn off automatically if no operations are performed for the length of time selected in the
I_1 AUTO POWER OFF menu (see page 104). To turn the camera on, use tile ON/OFF switch or press the []
button for about a second.
