Using
Focus Lock
Focus Lock allows you to focus on a subject that is not in the
center of the picture, or to capture action shots more quickly by
pre-focusing in the area where the action will occur. You can
also use Focus I_ockto help achieve focus in low light or low
contrast situations.
"_ Frame the subject for your picture within the focus brackets.
2 Pressthe Shutter Button halfway down to lock the focus and
exposure.
3 Continue to hold the Shutter button halfway down while you
re-frame or adjust your subject far proper positioning.
4 Pressthe Shutter button all the way down to take the picture.

button lets you toggle between three focus
settings on the camera. The following table describes each of
the focus range settings on the camera:

Normo Focus Usewhen taking pictures of subjectsgreater than
0.4 m (16 in) away. Auto focus is limited to a
range of 0.4 m (16 in) to infinity. This is the ddault
focus setting.

will not take a picture if it cannot find focus (the AF
viewfinder light blinks green and the focus brackets
turn red in the Lv÷ View screen). Auto focus has a
distance range of 0.18 m to 0.5 m (7 to 20 in).
