Operation
Basic Operation
Onceyou havecompletedthe setupandconfig-
uration of your new receiver, i t is simpleto
operateand enjoy Thefollowing instructions
will providethe steps neededto enjoy the
HK3370:
• Installthe two suppliedAAA batteriesin the
remote asshown Be certainto observethe (+)
and (-) polarityindicatorsshown inthe bottom
of the batterycompartment,
• When usingthe HK 3370 for the first time, it
is necessary t o pressthe Main Power button
[]
on the front panelto turn the unit on This
placesthe unit in a standbymode,asindicated
by the ambercolor of the Power Indicator
[kl. Oncethe unit is in standby,you may begin
a listeningsessionbypressingthe System
Power Control [] on the front panelor the
Main Power On button _ on the remote
Notethat the Power Indicator
[] will turn
red, then green Thiswill turn the unit on and
return it to the inputsourcethat was last used,
Theunit may also be turned on from standbyby
pressingany of the Source Selector but-

• Todim the brightnessof the front paneldis-
play, pressthe Dimmer button _) on the
front panel []
Thefirst presswill dim the
lightsto half normal.A secondpresswill turn
the displaycompletelyoff Pressthe Dimmer
button _'d_) again to restorethe displayto
normal brightness

return to normal operation,
• Forprivatefistening,plug the 1/4" stereo
phone plug from a pair of stereoheadphones
into the front panelHeadphone jack L_II,
• One or two separatesetsof speakersmay be
connectedto the HK 3370 Tolisten to oneof
the speakersets pressthe Speaker buttons

TheHK3370's tuneris capableof tuning AM,
FMand FMStereobroadcaststations Stations
maybe tuned manually,or they may be stored
asfavoritestation presetsand recalledfrom a
30-positionmemory
Station Selection

frequencyincrementat a time,or pressand
hold it to locatea specificstation,Whenthe
TUNEDindicatorilluminates,the station is
properlytuned andshouldbe heardwith clarity,
4,Stationsmay also be tuned directlyby press-
ing the Direct button [q, and then pressing
the Numeric
Keys [] that correspondto
the station's frequencyThedesiredstationwill
automaticallybe tuned,
NOTE: Whenthe FM receptionof a station is
weak, audio quality will be increased by switch-
ing to Mono modeby pressingthe FM Mode
button[]
