For Cable TV, S-video connection is the best and the alternate one is
Composite Video (AV connection).
Currently there are two kinds of DVD Players in the market, "Pro-
gressive Scan" whichis also known as "480P" and "interlace Scan"
which is also known as "480i". Progressive Scan DVD Player(480P)
will only work with TVs that can accept a Progressive signal,
is in-
cludes all HDTVs and DTVs.
However, since all DVD Players that
support 480P can also support 480i, you can still use the Progres-
sive Scan DVD Player with any TVs. You just will not be able to take
advantage of the 480P quality on a TV that cannot handle 480P signal.
So if you have a regular Analog TV, and want to buy a Progressive
Scan DVD Player, you will only be able to watch 480i quality pictures.
