9. Apply braketo stop tractor,set park-
ing brakeand place gearshiftleverin
neutral position.
10.Turnignition key to "STOP"position.

CHECK TmREPRESSURE
The tires on your tractorwere overinflated
at the factoryfor shipping purposes. Cor-
recttire pressure is importantfor best
cutting performance.
Reducetire pressureto PSI shown in
"PRODUCTSPECIFICATIONS" s ection
of this manual.
CHECK DECK LEVELNESS
For best cutting results, mowerhous-
ing should be properlyleveled. See "TO
LEVELMOWERHOUSING"in the Service
andAdjustmentssection of this manual.
CHECK FOR PROPER POSmTmON
OF ALL BELTS
See the figuresthat are shown for replac-
ing motionand mowerblade drivebelts
in the Serviceand Adjustmentssection
of this manual. Verifythat the belts are
routedcorrectly.
CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM
After you learn how to operateyour trac-
tor, checkto see that the brake is properly
adjusted. See "TOADJUST BRAKE"in
the Serviceand Adjustmentssection of
this manual.
