Operating system requirements

Following are the operating system requirements for HP MPIO XP DSM:
• Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1(x86, IA64 and x64)
• Windows Server 2003 R2 with Service Pack 1(x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 (x86, IA64 and x64)
• Windows Server 2003 R2 with Service Pack 2 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 (x86, IA64 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 – Server Core (x86 and x64)

Supported storage systems

The HP MPIO XP DSM supports the following disk arrays:
• XP48
• XP128
• XP512
• XP1024
• XP10000
• XP12000
• XP20000
• XP24000

Prerequisite drivers

HP StorageWorks RAID storage systems are generally installed with a Solution Software kit, such as
the Fibre Channel Installation kit. These kits install or update certain drivers necessary for using HP
StorageWorks products with Windows. For information about Host Bus Adapter (HBA) drivers, refer to the
