SATIN STITCH ING
This is useful for decoratio n such as tapering , manual
designed embroid ei y, monogra mming, and applique .
The satin stitch, which is a very close zigzag stitch,
is obtained by setting the stitch length as near toO"
as possible without stopping the feeding
action
The
setting will vary for different fabrics.
It may be
desirable to loosen the upper tension slightly to
cause the threads to lock undernea th, in ordei to
make the top surface look especiall y smooth
For
lightwei ght fabrics, place paper undernea th
the
fabric while sewing for best results.
