offers the following compression options for NEF (RAW) images:
Option Description
Lossless NEF images are compressed using a reversible
ON__. c ompressed algorithm, reducing file size by about 20-40%
(default) with no effect on image quality.
NEF images are compressed using a non-
0N_ Compressed reversible algorithm, reducing file size by about
40-55% with almost no effect on image quality.
NEF images are not compressed. Recording time
Uncompressed increases slightly.
