Totest thefunctionof theforwarddrive bail,lift the bailto the handle
and releaseit. The bail shouldreturnto its neutralposition.Ifit doesn't,
contactCustomerSupportfor assistanceor the nearestdealer.

Snapthe cablehousingclips intothe handleassemblycable
mount.The red clip (reversecable)fits into thetop positionon the
handleassembly,whilethe black clip (forward/clutch cable)feeds
intothe lowerpositionon the handleassembly.See Figure3.

MOVING THE TILLER OFF THE SKID
To roll thetiller off the shippingplatform,put thewheels infreewheel,if
they are not alreadyfrom the factory,as follows:
1.
Placea sturdyblock underthe transmissionto raiseone wheel
about 1"off the ground.Removethe clickpin fromthe wheelhub
and wheelshaft. See Figure5.

the click pin
from the wheel hub.
(WHEEL DRIVE position)
Slide the wheel fully
inward on the wheel shaft.
Reinstall the click pin.

Slidethe wheelfully inwardon the wheelshaft. Reinstallthe click
pin throughthe wheelshaftonly (notthroughthe wheelhub). See
Figure5. Thewheel shouldnow spinfreely(freewheel)on the
wheelshaft. Repeatwith theother wheel.
3.
Usethe handlebarto lift and pull the tillerbackwardsto a flat
area.
NOTE:Beforestartingthe engine,the wheelsmustbe placedinthe
WHEELDRIVEposition(pinsthroughwheelhubsand wheel shaft).
This procedureisdescribedin the operationsectionunder wheeldrive
pins.
