• Saw cutsto one sideor at an angle.
• Saw hasto be forced throughthe cut.
• inadequatesupplyofoil tothe bar
and chain.
Checkthe condition ofthe guidebar
eachtimethe chainissharpened.A
wornguidebar willdamagethe chain
and make cuttingdifficult. To maintain
guidebar:.
- Move On/Stopswitch to "Stop. •
• Removebar and chainfrom saw.
• Cleanall sawdustand any other
debrisfrom the guidebar grooveand
sprocketholeaftereach use.

• Cleantheunitusinga dampclothwith
a milddetergent.
• Wipeoffthe unitwitha clean dry
cloth.
CLEAN AIR RLTER
A dirtyair filterdecreasesthelife and
performance of theengineand in-
creasesfuel consumption and harmful
emissions. A lwaysclean yourairfilter
after 15 tanksoffuel or 5 hours of op
eration,whichever c omesfirst. Clean
morefrequently in dustyconditions, i t is
advisable to replaceyourairfilter witha
newone afterevery50 hoursof opera-
tion, or annually, w hichever c omesfirst.
To clean filter:.
• Loosen3 screwson cylindercover.
• Removecylindercover.
• Removeair filter.
• Clean theair filterusinghotsoapy
water. Rinsewithcleancoolwater.
Air dry completely beforereinstalling.
• Lightlyoilair filter beforeinstalling.
Use2-cycleengineoil or motoroil
(SAE 30). Squeezeexcessoilfrom
filter. Thiswillimprove the efficiency of
the air filter.
• Reinstallair filter.
• Reinstallcylindercoverand 3 screws
(15-20 in.lbs°).
