Tones are sent by manually entering numbers, or using numbers stored in
the phone book. You can also send tones for numbers entered in the
scratchpad (see Scratchpad, page 46).
Note
The length of the key beep, the sound you hear when pressing the
keys, affects the duration of manually entered DTMF tones.
Stored tones are always sent with a fixed DTMF duration. Check
your key beep length before sending tones (see Key Beep Length,
page 62).
To send tones manually
While on a call, enter the appropriate numbers.
The tones associated with the numbers are immediately sent over the
air.
To send tones saved in your phone book
1.
While on a call, press
2.
Scroll to an entry.
3.
Press
view.
4.
Press
options.
5.
Press
Send Tones. The tones associated with the numbers are
immediately sent over the air.

Prepending numbers

Add (prepend) numbers, such as an area code or country code, at the
beginning of a phone number in an existing phone book entry.
To prepend (add) numbers
1.
From standby mode, press
2.
Scroll to the entry to be changed.
3.
Press
view.
