__/_ WATER HEATER S AFETY
Undercertain conditions hydrogengas may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for two weeks
or more. Hydrogengas can be explosiveunder these circumstances.
If"the hot water has not been used fi)r two weeks or more, prevent the possibility of damage or inju_T by turning on
all hot water taucets and alloxdng them to mn for several minutes. Do this before using any electrical appliance
which is connected to the hot water system. This simple procedure xdll allow any buihdq) hydrogen gas to escape.
Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame or appliance during this process.
PROPER INSTALLATION
Thiswasher must be properly installed and located in
accordance with the Installation Instructions before it is
used.ff you did not receive an Installation Instructions
sheet, you can receive one by calling us toll-free at the

• Install or store where it will not be exposed to
temperatt_es below freezing or exposed to the weather.

YOUR L AUNDRY AREA
• Keep the _uea underneath and _uound your
appliances fiee of combustible materials such
as lint, paper, rags, chemicals, etc.
• Ch)se supervision is necessary ifthis appliance is used
by or near children. Do not alh)w (hildren to play
on, with, or inside this or any other appliance.
WHEN USING THE WASHER USE
• Never rea(h into washer while it is moving. Wait
until the machine has completely stopped before
opening tlle lid.
• The laund U process can reduce the flame retardamy
of fabrics. To avoid such a resuh, ( arefiflly follow the
garment manufacturer's wash and care instructions.
• Do not mix chlorine blea(h with ammonia or acids
such as vinegm and/or rust remover. Mixing
diff,'rent dmmicals can produce a toxic gas which
may cause demh.
• Do not wash or (hy articles that have been
cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with
combustible or explosive substances (such as
w_Lx, o il, paint, gasoline, degreasers, du-cleaning
solvents, kerosene, etc.) which may ignite or
explode. Do not add these substances to the
wash water. Do not use or place these substances
around y_)ur washer or duet during operation.
• To minimize the possibility of electric shock, unplug
this appliance fiom the p{_wer supply or disconnect
the washer at the household disuibution panel by
rem_Mng the fi_se or s_dtching off the drcuit
breaker beti)re attempting a W maintenance or
cleaning. N0re: Turning the Cycle Selector knob to
an offposition does N0Ydisconnect the appliance
fiom the power supply.
• Never attempt to operate this appliance if it is
damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled,
or has missing or broken parts, induding a damaged
cord or plug.
WHEN NOTIN USE
• Turn offwater lilt]eels to relieve pressure on hoses
and valves and to minimize leakage ifa break or
rapture sh_)uld occur. Check the condition of the
fill hoses; they may need replacement after5 years.
• Before discarding a washer, or removing it tiom
se_dce, remove the washer lid to prevent children
fiom hiding inside.
• Do not attempt/o repair or replace any part of this
appliance unless specifically recommended in this
