Choosing a Place for the Printer

Follow the guidelines listed below when placing your printer.
Place the printer on a flat, stable surface that is larger than the
printer. The printer will not operate properly if it is tilted or
at an angle.
Avoid placing the printer on soft surfaces, such as rubber
sheets or urethane rubber sheets. Doing so may affect the
quality of printed images.
Place the printer close enough to the computer for the
interface cable to reach it easily.
Leave adequate room for easy operation and maintenance.
Leave enough room on the table at the front of the printer for
the paper tray.
Avoid using or storing the printer in areas subject to rapid
changes in temperature and humidity. Also keep it away from
direct sunlight, strong light, or heat sources.
Avoid areas subject to shocks and vibrations.
Place the printer near a wall outlet where the plug can be
easily unplugged.
