Assigning Functions to the ['9] and [1_] Keys (L/R Key)
[O] (REC) ---_ [MENU] ---_ REC Tab ---_ L/R Key
You can assign one of the four functions listed below to the [4] and [1_] keys.
Selecting a Focus Mode (page 88)
E1-d--_l[kl--_l_1 • [] (Manual Focus) and i;J-d(Pan Focus) cannot be
selected.
Metering Changes the Metering Mode (page 101 )
Self-timer Sets the self-timer time (page 91)
Face Detection Turns face detection on and off (page 94)
Off Cancels [,] and [1_] key assignments
W Shooting with Quick Shutter (Quick Shutter)
[O] (REC) ---_ [MENU] ---_ REC Tab ---_ Quick Shutter
When Quick Shutter is turned on, you can press the shutter button all the way without
waiting for Auto Focus. This will record the image using a high speed focus operation
that is much faster than Auto Focus.
Turns on Quick Shutter
• Some images may be out of focus when Quick Shutter is used.
iii_ Turns off QuiCkbefore the imageShutter so focUSis recorded, is performed using normal Auto Focus
• If you fully press the shutter button while Quick Shutter is turned off,
images will continue to be shot without focusing.
• Whenever possible, take a little extra time to half-press the shutter
button in order to ensure proper focus.
_NOTE
• Quick Shutter is disabled when the zoom factor is greater. Recording is performed
using Auto Focus at this time.
