Calculation of standard exposure is based on the specified metering method
(p. 94).
You can customize camera operation so that turning the 0 dial changes shutter
speed and turning the _
dial changes the aperture value (p. 129).
the Flash
Output
Choose
from the three flash
levels in _Vl mode.
Enter M mode.
Set the mode dial to M.
Configure the setting.
Raise the flash, press the I_ button
and
immediately
turn the _
dial to choose
the
flash output
level, then press the @
button.
Once the setting
is complete,
[]
is displayed.

tab.
You can set the flash level in TV or AM mode by accessing MENU (p. 41),
choosing [Flash Control] on the 0
tab, and then setting [Flash Mode] to
[Manual[.
You can also access the [Built-in Flash Settings[ MENU screen as follows
(except when an external flash (sold separately) is attached to the camera).
Press and hold the _, button for at least one second.
When the flash is up, press the _ button and immediately press the MENU
button.
