and gives you lots of options.
Taking Pictures With the Viewfinder
You can capture an image as you would with any
point-and-shoot auto-focus camera: look through the optical
viewfinder and press the two-step shutter.

Make sure you are at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from
your subject. (To get closer, use macro mode with the
LCD screen, as described on page 4-4.)
NOTE
You need to use the LCD screen to make audio recordings or
use the macro and digital zoom features.
