[AWB AutomaUc]_ The camcorder automatically sets the white bal-
ance for natural looking colors.
[_.'- Daylight] To record outdoors.
[',6,-'- T ungsten] To record under tungsten and tungsten-type
(3-wavelength) fluorescent lighting.
[_._ Custom WB] Use the custom white balance setting to make
white subjects appear white under colored lighting.
_ NOTES
• When you select the custom white balance:
- Set I-_ _ [Zoom Type] to a setting other than [Digital].
- Reset the white balance when you change locations or the lighting or
other conditions change.
- Depending on the light source, _'_ may keep flashing. The result will
still be better than with [#/BAutomatic].
Custom white balance may provide better results in the following cases:
- Changing lighting conditions
- Close-ups
- Subjects in a single color (sky, sea or forest)
- Under mercury lamps and certain types of fluorescent lights

Operating modes: 1
Q appears.
Repeat, selecting [_ Off], to turn off the self timer.
For movies: In record pause mode, press [#TAIRi=i#_Opi.
The camcorder starts recording after a 1O-second countdown. The
countdown appears on the screen.
