Super G3 is a phrase used to describe the new generation of fax
machines that l,,se ITU-T V.34 standard 33.6 Kbps* modems. Super G3
High Speed Fax nl,achines allow transnl,ission time of approximately 3
.,_,._,_,0 _,0_,,,,_ seconds* per page which resl,l,lts in rechuced telephone line charges.
* Approximately 3 seconds per page fax transmission time based on ITU-T No. 1 Chart
(Standard Mode) at 33.6 Kbps modem speed. The Public Switched Telephone Network
currently supports fax nl,odem speeds of 28.8 Kbps or lower, depending on telephone line
conditions. Sending and receiving fax machines need to conform to ITU-T V.34
