TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
No AC output
is
available
but engine is
running.
Engine runs good but
bogs clown when loads
are connected.
Cause
I.
Circuit breaker isopen.
2.
Poor connection or defective
cord set.
3.
Connected device isbad.
4.
Fault in generator.
I.
Short circuit in a connected load.
2.
Generator is overloaded.
3.
Shorted generator circuit
I.
Rocker switch set to "Off'.
2.
Fuel valve is in the "Off'
position.
Solution
I.
Reset circuit breaker.
2.
Check and repair.
Engine will not start; or
starts and runs rough.
Engine shuts down
Out of gasoline.
Fill fuel tank.
during operation.
Engine lacks power.
Load is too high.
See "Don't
Overload
Generator"
on page 9.
3.
Connect another device that is in good
condition.
4.
Contact Briggsand Stratton service facility.

Disconnect shorted electrical load.

Set switch to "On".

Turn fuel valve to the "On" position.
