Configuring Policy Settings

The configuration options available to you fall into a tree structure, which is
determined by the layout of the .adm file. By navigating through these options,
you can select a mode that determines the action that will be taken when the
policy file is applied.
The figure below shows sample user options for the Shell.
Policies are applied as follows:
If the box is checked, it is implemented. When the user next logs on, the
user' s computer conforms to the policy. If the option was checked the last
time the user logged on, Windows NT makes no changes.
