LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should
be serviced and the line cord replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.
HOW TO USE
This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any
other electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor. This is normal and will quickly
disappear.
WARNING: This multiple temperature iron has been specially designed to straighten hair. Due to this special application, this iron will
be hotter on the HI (16-20) setting than regular dual-heat stylers. Due to the extreme heat capabilities of this iron, extra care should
be taken when using.
• Keep heated surfaces away from contact with all skin areas. Do not touch straightening/pressing plates with fingertips.
• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and iron to avoid touching scalp.
• Test small section of hair to determine correct heat setting for type of hair.
TO USE: For a complete styling, hair should be clean, dry and free from dirt, hair spray, creams, etc.
PRE-HEAT: Rest the iron on a smooth, flat surface, and plug in. Turn on, set the temperature control at the desired position, and allow
iron to heat. It takes 60-90 seconds to heat up. For optimum styling temperature, allow iron to heat for 2-3 minutes before using.
HOW TO GET PROFESSIONAL RESULTS WITH YOUR IRON: This unique iron has been designed with multiple temperatures, providing
very high heat in the HI (16-20) settings for straightening very coarse, thick, hair, and very low heat in the LO (1-5) settings for
straightening extra fine, damaged or dry hair. It also provides a full range of heat settings between 6 and 15 for all normal textures and
thicknesses of hair.
WHEN USING STRAIGHTENING IRON: Work with hair sections that are approximately 2-1/2" wide and 1/2" thick. Place hair between
the hot plates and press down firmly. Hold in place for a few seconds and pull through hair, maintaining some tension. For a finishing
touch, turn straightening iron under just a half turn when nearing end of hair. Then, simply release pressure from handle and allow hair
to slip out. Repeat the process until you have achieved the desired hairstyle.
TEST A SMALL SECTION OF HAIR BEFORE USING; THEN ADJUST TEMPERATURE DEPENDING ON TYPE OF HAIR.
HEAT SETTINGS:
HI (16-20): These settings are very hot. Use only if hair is very coarse and highly resistant, but in good condition.
MED/HI (11-15):
Use these heat settings in this range for thick, dense, hard-to-straighten hair in good condition.
MEDIUM (6-10):
Use these heat settings in this range for normal hair in good condition.
LO (1-5):
Use these heat setting for very fine, fragile, light-colored hair.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified
service personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: Unplug curling iron and allow to cool. Iron must be cleaned only when cold. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the
handle. Do not allow water or any other liquid to go into handle of the iron.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Store the cord loosely coiled. Never wrap the cord
around unit; this could cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it
could cause cord to fray and possibly break. Never hang unit up by the power cord -- use the hanging ring provided.

CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD PARA EL CABLE ELECTRICO
1. Nunca hale ni tire del cable ni de la unidad.
2. Para conectar, sujete con firmeza el enchufe y guíelo dentro de la toma de corriente.
3. Para desconectar, sujete el enchufe y retírelo de la toma de corriente.
4. Antes de usar el aparato, verifique que el cable no tenga cortaduras ni abrasiones. De ser así, la unidad debe ser revisada y
el cable debe ser reemplazado.
5. Nunca enrolle el cable de manera apretada en torno a la unidad, ya que el exceso de presión en las uniones del cable con la
unidad o con el enchufe pueden raerlo o romperlo.
NO OPERE LA UNIDAD SI EL CABLE PRESENTA CUALQUIER DAÑO, SI LA UNIDAD FUNCIONA DE MANERA INTERMITENTE O SI DEJA

COMO USAR
Este artefacto es para uso doméstico y puede ser enchufado en cualquier toma de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria doméstica).
No use ninguna otra toma de corriente eléctrica.
IMPORTANTE: Durante los primeros minutos de su uso inicial, usted notará humo y un ligero olor a quemado. Esto es normal y

PRECAUCION: Esta tenaza de múltiple temperatura ha sido especialmente diseñada para alisar el cabello. Debido a esta especial
cualidad, esta tenaza estará más caliente en la posición ALTA (16-20) que estilizadores regulares de doble temperatura. Dada la
capacidad para una extrema temperatura de esta tenaza, se recomienda mucho cuidado cuando se esté usando.
• Evite el contacto de la unidad con su piel. No toque la tenaza con los dedos.
• Para cabellos más cortos, coloque un peine delgado de plástico entre el cuero cabelludo y la tenaza para evitar tocar el cuero

• Haga una prueba en una pequeña sección del cabello para determinar la temperatura correcta para el tipo de cabello.
MODO DE USARSE: Para un mejor acabado, el cabello debe estar limpio, seco y libre de laca, cremas, etc.
PRE-CALENTAMIENTO: Coloque la tenaza en una superficie plana y enchúfela. Enciéndala, seleccione la temperatura deseada y
déjela que caliente. Toma unos 60 a 90 segundos para que se caliente. Para alcanzar una temperatura óptima para el peinado, permita
que la tenaza se caliente unos 2 a 3 minutos antes de usarse.
COMO OBTENER RESULTADOS PROFESIONALES CON SU TENAZA: Esta singular tenaza ha sido diseñada con temperatura múltiple,
proveyendo temperatura bastante alta en la posición Alta (16-20) para alisar cabellos muy gruesos y abundantes, y temperatura
bastante baja en las posiciónes Baja (1-5) para alisar cabellos muy finos, dañados o secos. También provee una variedad de
temperaturas entre la 16 y 20 para texturas normales y grosor del cabello.
CUANDO USE LA TENAZA PARA ALISAR: Trabaje con secciones de pelo que sean de aproximadamente 2-1/2" de ancho y 1/2" de
grosor. Coloque el pelo entre las láminas calientes y presione fuertemente. Sosténgalo por unos cuantos segundos y páselo a través
de todo el mechón de pelo, haciendo presión. Para un toque final, coloque la tenaza por debajo dándole solamente media vuelta
cuando esté cerca de las puntas. Luego, simplemente suelte la presión del mango y deje que el pelo se deslice. Repita el proceso
hasta que haya obtenido el peinado deseado.
HAGA UNA PRUEBA EN UNA PEQUEÑA SECCION DEL CABELLO ANTES DE USARLA; LUEGO SELECCIONE LA TEMPERATURA DE
ACUERDO AL TIPO DE CABELLO.
POSICIONES DE TEMPERATURAS:
ALTA (16-20):
Estas temperaturas son muy calientes. Uselas si el cabello es muy grueso, abundante, resistente, pero en buenas condiciones.
MEDIANA/ALTA (11-15):
Use las temperaturas en este orden para cabellos abundantes, difíciles de alisar en buenas condiciones.
MEDIANA (6-10):
Use las temperaturas en este orden para cabellos normales y en buenas condiciones.
BAJA (1-5):
Use las temperaturas bajas para cabellos muy finos, frágiles y de color claro.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si
necesita reparación remítalo a personas calificadas.
PARA LIMPIAR: Desenchufe la tenaza y déjela que enfríe. La tenaza solamente debe limpiarse cuando esté fría. Use un paño suave,
ligeramente humedecido para limpiar el mango. No deje que penetre agua u otro líquido al mango de la tenaza.
PARA GUARDAR: Desconecte el artefacto, déjelo enfriar y guárdelo en su misma caja o en un lugar seco y limpio. Enrolle el cable
suavemente, sin ajustarlo. Nunca lo enrolle ajustado alrededor de la unidad, esto podría causar que se gaste prematuramente y rompa.
No ponga presión al cable donde éste entra al mango, ya que esto podría causar el desgaste del cable y su posible rotura. Nunca
cuelgue la unidad por el cable -- use el aro para colgar que viene con la unidad.
