Replacing the Batteries and Fuse

Replace the fuse and batteries as shown in Figure 16.
Follow the steps below to replace the batteries.
XWWarning
To avoid shock, injury, or damage to the
Meter:
To avoid false readings, which could lead
to possible electric shock or personal
injury, replace the batteries as soon as
the battery indicator (b) appears.
Use ONLY fuses with the amperage,
interrupt, voltage, and speed ratings
specified.
Turn the rotary switch to OFF and remove
the test leads from the terminals.
1.
Remove the battery door by using a standard
screwdriver to turn the battery door lock until the
unlock symbol aligns with the arrow.
2.
Remove and replace the batteries.
3.
Replace the battery door and secure by turning the
battery door lock until the lock symbol aligns with the
arrow.
