1.2 Installation

Installation is very easy. Just start the installation procedure and follow the instructions of the installation
manager. You should use Standard Installation. On completion of the installation process a new program group
THINTUNE Manager is available in the Start Menue.
Note
Configuration changes are assigned to a THINTUNE Thin Client
while boot or reboot.
Note
To remotely manage THINTUNE Thin Clients which are located in a
LAN there is no further configuration needed on the terminals. If
your terminals are located in a remote site which is connected to
the server via a router and/or a firewall you either need to
manually enter the IP address of the THINTUNE OS Management
Server into the terminal (Global Network Settings), or to set up an
independent server for THINTUNE OS Management in each subnet
Note
If you will use THINTUNE Manager for remote administration
please be notified that all new THINTUNE Thin Clients
automatically will be assigned the configuration of the group
which is defined as the default group in THINTUNE Manager.
Therefore it makes sense to create a new group and exclude this
group from automatic assignments ("unmanaged"). Make this
your default group.
