The computer is powered by one rechargeable
lithium-ion battery pack.
The computer has an internal battery to back up
the internal Real Time Clock (RTC) and calendar.
The AC adaptor provides power to the system
and recharges the batteries when they are low. It
comes with a detachable power cord.
Because it is universal, it can receive a range of
AC voltage from 100 to 240 volts; however, the
output current varies among different
configurations. Using the wrong adaptor can
damage your computer. See the AC adaptor
section in Chapter 2, The Grand Tour.

Other hard disks may be introduced in the

Accommodates either 3 ½" 1.44-megabyte or
720-kilobyte diskettes. It connects to a USB
port.
Some models are equipped with a full-size,
DVD-ROM drive module that lets you run either
12 cm (4.72") or 8 cm (3.15") CDs or 12cm(4.72")
DVDs without using an adaptor. It runs
DVD-ROMs at maximum 8 speed and CD-ROMs
at maximum 24 speed. The drive supports the
