Image Stabilization
Nikon VR technologies help you produce blur-free images when
shooting in low light or unsteady conditions.
Some COOLPIX models offer lens shift or image-sensor shift VR, which
compensates for camera shake to deliver sharp images and steadier
framing with the monitor.
Other models offer Electronic VR, which applies movement data to
image-processing to turn blurred images into beautifully clear results.

Motion Detection automatically selects a faster shutter speed and
higher ISO (light sensitivity) setting to compensate for subject
movement or camera shake.
High ISO capability helps capture subjects beautifully in low light,
without compromising natural light or requiring long exposure time.

easier to capture fast-moving subjects with greater clarity.
Backside illumination structure improves image sensor sensitivity and
noise reduction to realize highly capable shooting of night scenes or

Blink Warning notifies you when a subject blinks during exposure,

Blink Proof shoots two pictures and saves the one in which the subject's
eyes are wide open.

This function automatically analyzes the captured image and corrects
any perceived red-eye effect before saving the image to memory.

Nikon's Scene Auto Selector provides quick,
carefree picture-taking in a variety of situations by
determining the subject and surrounding conditions,
and then automatically selecting the
appropriate scene mode for the shot.
Subject Tracking enhances your shooting experience by following the
movement of your subject.
Record high-definition movies at 720p. Some COOLPIX models with Full
HD movie function let you record Full 1080p HD movies with stereo sound.
Project your favorite photos or movie clips on any large, flat surface,
individually or as slide shows complete with music and added effects.
