Sure shooting, even in challenging lighting situations
Night Portrait mode enables you to capture beautiful handheld portraits at night. Following a series
of images to capture the background clearly, the COOLPIX S8100 shoots an additional exposure
using the flash to capture your subject and then merges them to produce a single finished image.
It achieves this by combining the image-stabilizing advantages of lens shift VR with the ability of its
backside illumination CMOS image sensor to rapidly expose and merge a series of shots.
