    Integration Guide Introduction Purpose of this Document This document describes the installation and setup of Technesis’ application integration on Ricoh Embedded Software Architecture capable devices. Warnings 1. The contents of this document may be changed without notice in the future.

    Technesis Servlet – Programmatic interface into the ESA platform that enables Technesis to retrieve information from the device. Technesis Xlet – Graphical user interface that displays on the Ricoh device panels for users to enter user and/or billing information. Integration Overview The following diagram illustrates the basic communication between the Technesis Print Control System and the Technesis ESA applications running on the Ricoh Controller.

    Supported Java 1.x Devices Please refer to Appendix D – Ricoh Models Reference for a complete list of the Java 1.x Ricoh family devices that Technesis supports. These devices will require the Java VM Card Type B provided by Ricoh.
