SHIFT Indicator
USEFUL KEYS
FOR COMPOSING TITLES
SPACE KEY
CLEAR Key
Use the SPACE Key to type spaces between other characters
in
a title.
RETURN KEY
MEMORY Key
This key operates the same way as the RETURN Key on a
typewriter.
Press the RETURN Key and
the
cursor
will move to the far left position on the next line. If pressed at the end of the last row on the page, the cursor
will move to the upper left corner of the same page.
MEMORY KEY
This key advances the display to the next blank or titled page in memory.
When page 29 is reached the display will return to page 1.
SIZE KEY
You can select two different character sizes for any row displayed by pressing the SIZE Key. The smaller size
displays 11 rows down and 24 spaces across. The larger size doubles the character size on the
screen.
SHIFT WITH KEYBOARD KEYS
SELECTING SPECIAL CHARACTERS
This key is used to display the 10 symbols located on the number keys on the title keyboard, and to display
small case letters. Hold down the SHIFT Key and then press the letter or symbol you want to display. The green
SHIFT indicator will light to show you are
in
this
mode.
Release the SHIFT Key to return
to typing
capital
letters
and
numbers.
SHIFT WITH CURSOR
KEY~
CENTERING ALL ROWS IN MEMORY
Hold down the SHIFT Key and press the CURSOR Keys to move all the rows on one page together.
This moves
every title on every page in memory at the same time. IMPORTANT: Check to be sure that all
your titles on
each page are fully displayed before recording.
SHIFT WITH CLEAR KEYS
CLEARING TITLES ON ALL 29 PAGES IN MEMORY
To clear all titles (29 pages) from memory at once, hold down the SHIFT Key and
then
press
the
CLEAR
Key,
the display will return to page
1.
You should clear all titles when composing
a title
for the
first
time.
CLEAR KEY
Pressing the CLEAR Key clears the title being displayed on the screen and erases the title on that page
number
in
memory.
The flashing cursor will return to the top left corner of the
screen.
