4. Place the core with the new carbon ribbon on to the spindle to be positioned at the back of the printer. Place the empty core on the spindle to be placed at the front, with the carbon ribbon face outwards.

7. Close the label roller to the home position. Return the head to its home position by depressing the PUSH marks on either side of the head unit firmly. 8. Finally, close the cover. When you replace the ribbon the next time, keep the ribbon core and replace the used ribbon with the new ribbon.

It may damage the thermal head. If the glue from the label adheres to the thermal head, clean it using the Oki Data Cleaning Kit. Proper paper and carbon ribbon? Please use proper paper specified by Oki Data. Ensure ribbon is face out.
Please confirm that the paper is positioned correctly. Platen roller clean? If the platen roller is not clean, clean the platen roller using the Oki Data Cleaning Kit (refer to “Maintenance”). Thermal head clean? No label is adhered to the head? If the thermal head is not clean, clean the head using the Oki Data leaning Kit.

6.7 Failure? Please confirm the following before you decide it’s a mechanical failure. POWER light is not ON even if you turn on the machine. If not, plug the AC adapter firmly into the main unit power connector.
