About the GS-10 Software
■ Installing and Setting up the GS-10 Software
Follow the steps below to install and set up the software.
1. Install the GS-10 drivers.
Be sure to read "Installing & Setup the USB Driver" in the GS-10 Owner's Manual (p. 91).
When Using Mac OS 8/9
Either OMS or FreeMIDI must be installed prior to installation of the drivers.
2. Install and set up GS-10 Editor and Librarian.
Please read the Readme file in the Editor folder on the GS-10 Software CD-ROM.
3. Follow the steps below to start the Installer (setup program).
After starting the Installer, follow the instructions in the dialog boxes to install and set up the software.
Windows users
3-1.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
3-2.
Click the Windows start button. From the menu that appears, select "Run...".
Open the "Run..." dialog box.
In the dialog box that appears, input the following into the "Open" field, and click [OK].
3-3.
D:\EDITOR\SETUP.EXE
The Installer starts.
* The drive name may be different for your system. Specify the drive name of your CD-ROM drive.
Mac OS users
3-1.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
3-2.
Double-click the "GS-10 Editor Installer" icon (found in the GS-10 Editor Installer E of the CD-ROM) to start up the
installer.
The Installer starts.
■ Upgrading
Upgraded versions of the GS-10 drivers or of GS-10 Editor or Librarian may be released to add features or to enhance
functioning when changes are made to the operating system. For the latest information and downloads, check the following
web page.

About Cakewalk Music Creator
Please note the following points in regard to the Music Creator software included with the GS-10.
With digital audio, only 16-bit is supported. The GS-10's 24-bit data is converted to 16-bit.
MIDI Clock is not transmitted. In addition, you cannot synchronize the GS-10 to the performance tempo.
The remote control settings (GS-10 Owner's Manual; p. 75) cannot be used.
