(referred to below as "camera") with a Multi Interface Shoe.
For details on compatible camera models of this unit, visit the

These cameras are not available in all countries/regions.

Keep out of reach of small children to prevent accidental
swallowing.
To reduce fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain
or moisture.

To avoid injury, be careful not to drop this unit.
Careless handling can lead to injury.
 Identifying the Parts

 Before using this unit
You can replace the soft eyepiece cup with the supplied
eyepiece cup according to your preference.
To remove the eyepiece cup, grip the bottom on both
sides and pull it off. (See illustration )
To attach the eyepiece cup, press it until it clicks into
place.
 Attaching this Unit
Before attaching this unit
ˎ
Set the power of the camera to OFF.
ˎ
Remove the connector protect cap from this unit.
To attach this unit
Turn off the power of the camera. Firmly insert this unit
all the way into the Multi Interface Shoe of the camera in
the direction shown.
To detach this unit
Turn off the power of the camera and then detach this
unit by following the attaching procedure in reverse.
Using this unit
ˎ
Set the power of the camera to ON.
ˎ
Look into this unit and adjust the diopter-adjustment lever
till the display appears clearly in this unit.
ˎ
When you look into this unit, the image is displayed in this
unit due to the action of the eyepiece sensors. When you
move your face from this unit, the image display returns to
the LCD monitor of the camera.
ˎ
Press the FINDER/LCD button of this unit to switch the
display between this unit and the LCD monitor on the
camera.
ˎ
Depending on the status of use, the eyepiece sensors may be
activated so no images appear on the LCD monitor of the
camera. If this happens, press the FINDER/LCD button of
this unit.
Notes on Use
ˎ
Do not touch the eyepiece lens or connector of this unit.
ˎ
You cannot use this unit together with an external flash or
other device attached to the camera by the Multi Interface
Shoe.
ˎ
Be careful not to subject this unit to mechanical shock
while attaching it.
ˎ
Do not hold the camera only by this unit.
ˎ
When carrying this unit, remove it from the camera
first. When carrying this unit, attach the connector
protect cap to this unit. Then put it in the supplied
carrying case. (See illustration )
ˎ
If you wear glasses and have difficulty in viewing in this
unit, you can remove the eyepiece cup from this unit.
ˎ
The display on the LCD monitor of the camera may differ
from the display in this unit because of the difference of
their display sizes.
ˎ
For details about the screen indicator of this unit and how
to set it with a camera, refer to the Instruction Manual of
your camera.
ˎ
You can change the angle of this unit depending on the
situation of use.
ˎ
The LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder are
manufactured using extremely high-precision technology
so over 99.99% of the pixels are operational for effective use.
However, there may be some tiny black points and/or bright
points (white, red, blue or green in color) that constantly
appear on the LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder.
These points are normal in the manufacturing process and
do not affect the images in any way.

Do not keep the eyepiece lens pointed toward the sun or
other bright light source.
ˎ
This unit may become warm after extended use. This is not
a malfunction.
ˎ
Depending on the surrounding lighting conditions or scene,
the movement of the subject may be jerky, or flickering or
moiré patterns may appear in this unit. These do not affect
the recorded image in any way.
ˎ
Do not disassemble this unit or its performance
cannot be guaranteed.
ˎ
When using this unit outside, be careful not to get it wet
with rain or seawater.
ˎ
Do not leave this unit in direct sunlight, in a closed car or
near a heater.
ˎ
Do not swing the case by the attached strap etc. The case
may detach from the strap or this unit may fly out of the
case.
ˎ
Keep the magnetic snap of the carrying case away from
floppy diskettes and other items that are affected by
magnetism.
Cleaning this unit
ˎ
Wipe off any dust from the surface of this unit lightly with a
soft clean cloth.
ˎ
Brush off any dust from the eyepiece lens with a blower
brush and wipe it lightly with the supplied cleaning cloth.
