Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not allow the master cylinder to completely drain of brake fluid at any time during this process.
Doing so may require removing the master cylinder from the vehicle for bench bleeding. Also, use care when handling
brake fluid, as it can quickly damage finished surfaces (paint, plating, etc.).
1.
Remove factory brake hose, noting routing.
2.
Install side-bent banjo end of Russell hose onto caliper so that hose is pointed inward (See Fig. 1) .
3.
Install straight banjo end onto master cylinder, clocking so that hose is pointed approximately 45° inward
(See Fig. 2) .
4.
Locate hose with two factory mounting points on swingarm.
5.
Check hose clearance throughout entire suspension travel range.
6.
Bleed system and check for leaks while applying pressure.
