Connection Type | PPPoA
Point to Point Protocol over ATM (PPPoA) Point-to-Point Protocol is a protocol for serial data
transmission that is used to carry IP data between your ISP and your computer. PPPoA
encapsulates PPP frames for ATM Adaption Layer 5 (AAL5). PPPoA offers authentication,
encryption and compression.
1.
Select the type of network protocol and encapsulation mode over the ATM PVC that your
ISP has instructed you to use, then click Next
2.
In the Connection Type page, select PPP over ATM (PPPoA), then click Next
3.
In the PPP Username and Password page, enter a username and password and change
other parameters as directed by your ISP, and then click Next.
