    • Connect the hard drive enclosure to your computer before inserting the software CD into your optical drive. To connect the enclosure to your computer: 1 Plug the AC power adapter into the 12V DC jack, then plug it into an AC power outlet. DX-PHD35...
  • Page 4 DX-PHD35 2 Connect the USB B-type connector on the USB cable (provided) to the enclosure, then plug the other end of the cable to your computer. USB 2.0 A type male connector 3 Press the power button to turn on the enclosure. The operating system automatically detects and sets up the new drive.

    Run.exe on the CD. The initial menu opens. 3 Click Install Backup Software. The Welcome screen opens. 4 Click NEXT. The Roxio End-User License Agreement screen opens. DX-PHD35 5 Read the license agreement, click “I accept..., “then click NEXT. The Choose Setup Type screen opens.

    8 Click FINISH to complete the installation. Using your enclosure Starting Roxio BackOnTrack To start Roxio BackOnTrack: 1 Press the backup button (the button with the Dynex logo on it) on the end of the enclosure. Or, click Start, Roxio, the BackOnTrack folder, then click BackOnTrack.

    DX-PHD35 To save your project, click Save. Enter a name for the project, then click OK. If you decided to run the project now, a progress screen will inform you when the project has been completed. 9 Click Done to return to the project window.
