periodic maintenance checks.

About the Built-in Rechargeable
Battery
The unit is provided with a rechargeable battery that
retains the date/time and various settings regardless of
power-on and power-off status. The rechargeable
battery is charged as long as the unit is operated. If the
period the unit is operated is short, the battery
discharges gradually and if it is not used at all for
approximately 1 month, the battery will discharge
completely. In that case, charge the battery and then
start using the unit. If you do not need to record the date
and time when the rechargeable battery is not fully
charged, you can use the unit in this state.
Charging the rechargeable battery
Connect the unit to the AC outlet using the AC Adaptor
and power cord for about 24 hours. (The unit does not
need to be turned on.)
Using your Videocassette
Recorder abroad
You can use your Videocassette Recorder in any
country/region using the AC Adaptor.
Supplied within 100 V to 240 V AC, 50 Hz/60 Hz.
Use a commercially available AC plug adaptor [a], if
necessary, depending on the design of the wall outlet
[b].
