Getting Started

You will need the following items in order to install your new Rio Digital Audio Receiver:
The Rio Digital Audio Receiver
The Rio Digital Audio Connector
2 Phone cords or Ethernet cable
Speakers
6' RCA cable
(Optional: If you choose to plug the Rio Receiver into your home theater system.)
The Rio Receiver Installation CD
Your Windows Operating System Installation or Recovery CD

Installation

1. Remove the computer case and insert the Rio Connector into an available
white slots at the back of your computer case and they require that you screw the bracket into the com-
puter frame. Make certain the Rio Connector is firmly seated in the PCI slot before replacing the cover on
the PC.
2. Plug the included 6' phone cord into the Rio Connector port marked
Line and into the nearest phone jack. This allows you to use your home
phonelines as a network between your PC and your Rio Receiver.
3. Turn on your PC and start Windows. Windows will display a New
Hardware Found screen and notify you that it has found the Rio
Connector.
4. If prompted, place the Rio Receiver Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive
and click Next. This will prompt Windows to select the Rio Connector's
driver from the CD.
