Here is an example of how to configure wireless repeater. Configure the Operating Mode of the TL-WA500G Access Points. • Configure AP1 on LAN Segment 1 in Access Point mode.

The default setting is Disable. If you disable the Server, you must have another DHCP server within your network or else you must manually configure the computer.

New firmware versions are posted onhttp://www.tp-link.com and can be downloaded for free. There is no need to upgrade the firmware unless the new firmware has a new feature you want to use.
