After you have created the necessary firewall and IDP rules within the security policy, you
must perform the following steps to assign a security policy.
To assign an existing policy to the IDP device:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Policy Manager > Security Policies.

In Device Manager, right-click the IDP device and select Policy > Assign Policy.
2.
From the Security Policy Name list, select the security policy you just created.
3.
Click OK.
